RLink developer mode

    It's not based by the microphone, it's getting the speed puls signal.


    If you deactivate the microphone, handsfree calls will not be possible,
    and if you deactivate the speed puls signal, the navigation will not work.


    There must be another way!

    Sorry, but in this case you are wrong.


    In the new Scenic there are 2 mics behind the front seats and they continously listening the noises of the cabin. And adjust the volume.


    They can work as part of a kind of active-noise-cancelling. If you select the "comfort" exhaust setting in the multisense system, your speakers will produce anti-phase sound of the cabin noises. Many headphones work upon this phisycal mechanism.

    Maybe, but in this case the R-link don't know that there is no mic connected.


    I see an option in the Developer menu, but not sure what will happen if I set to disabled them. I'm not brave enough. :)

    That's the point!
    If you unplug it, there's no noise coming through.
    And so the the audio couldn't be adjusted.
    This could be a good point to find out that the micros are adjusting the volume or not.


    Perhaps it's worth a try. It seems to be less risk to unplug.

    ...ich bin schon der Meinung, dass in einem solch speziellen Fall, wo man sich grenzübergreifend in einem Themenbereich, welcher von den überwiegenden Forumsteilnehmern eh wohl nicht sonderlich stark beachtet wird, durchaus in Englisch als "Weltsprache" austauschen darf. Leider hat die deutsche Sprache diese Chance historisch in den Sand gesetzt. Und ja....ich bin 60 :thumbup:

    Das Thema "Developer Mode" kocht momentan in den verschiedensten Foren, egal um welchen Renault es sich handelt. Hier in diesem "Scenic" Forum lesen interessierte Besitzer von Kadjar, Scenic, Talisman, Espace, Clio.... mit und auch aus unterschiedlichen Ländern. Da ist Deutschland ein ganz kleiner Teil. Meine Anleitung geistert sowohl in Deutschland, als auch in den Niederlanden, Frankreich, Großbritannien und in Italien herum. :) Gerade unsere italienischen Nachbarn sind uns bei dem Thema um Längen voraus.


    Ja, ich finde schon, dass wenn Benutzer hier in Englisch eine Frage stellen, dass wir sprachenübergreifend helfen und uns austauschen. Damit gewinnen wir alle. :)
